Previously on Mostly Mortals...

The war was over. This was the part where they buried the dead.

Caelum stood over Shirley and sang a Bladesong for him. A funeral song... for a friend he cannot even remember. Then they set Shirley out on the water, Idril lit him with fire arrows, and Orion blessed the ground so nothing there would ever climb out again.

And then the cemetery gave them one more body. Something reeking, sealed inside a sarcophagus. They pried it open expecting the lich... and got a white dragonborn instead. Wide awake. Swinging a wall of seawater at their heads. Caelum waved a hand, and the whole wave just fell apart. His name is Cartman Sandiego. A pirate who woke up in a dead lich's coffin with no idea how he got there.

Then an arrow came out of nowhere and buried itself in Kimber's shoulder! The shooter was a stranger up in the rocks. A bearded mountain man who took one look at Kimber in her zombie disguise and decided she was target practice. Caelum froze him where he stood. And Kimber? Kimber made him say sorry.

So that is the new roster. A pirate from a coffin... and the man who shot the bard. Welcome to the party.

Then Oggy and Idril picked the tomb apart, and the loot turned strange. A garnet with a whole ship trapped inside, sailing and screaming. A letter written in a language only the gods can read. And a little gold cylinder that might just be a lich's soul, locked behind a code nobody can crack.

So now they turn for home. For Beadale. For the nun. And then... for the undead dragon who started all of this.
